How to book your sports league online

BayActive have launched a new online booking platform that allows you to book upcoming leagues and view draws and results in the same handy place.

Step 1 of the online booking process

Set up an online account at bayvenues.jonasleisure.co.nz.

Select ‘’Log In’’ from the top right corner of the screen, select ‘’Create Account’’ and walk through the prompts.

An email will arrive in your inbox to confirm your account. Note: please check your Junk inbox.

Copy and paste the link in the email into an internet browser and follow the prompts to create a login password.

Step 2 of the online booking process

Once your account is set up, return to bayvenues.jonasleisure.co.nz and log in using your email and the password you set up.

To register your team, navigation to ‘’Home’’ and select ‘’BayActive – Sports Leagues’’.

You’ll see all the current sports leagues. To register into a new league, select the league and click ‘’New Registration’’.

Follow the prompts to confirm your team’s name and pay your deposit or in full.


What's next?

After your payment has gone through you will receive a payment confirmation email. If you pay a deposit online, the remainder of your team’s payment must be paid in full by the second week of the sports league (the start of the official competition rounds).

Payments can be made by credit card or by cash, cheque or Eftpos in person at the Mercury Baypark Arena, or the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre (QEYC). Please make cheques out to Bay Venues.

The primary contact person is responsible for payment of the team fees, this person is to collect the fee from his/her teammates and make the payment in a lump sum to the administrator.

Frequently asked questions

No! Social sports leagues are a great way to keep active while having fun and socialising with others. You can join no matter what your skill level.

Most participants are adults; however, youth are welcome to participate. All teams have a mix of female and male players and we supply the referees. All you need to do is turn up with your team and play!

Leagues range anywhere from 8 – 15 weeks depending on the time of year and the elected sport. All leagues culminate in a final for all teams followed by a prize giving. The cost to register your team depends on the length of time the league runs.

If you’re keen to take part but don’t have a team you can submit your interest with us and we’ll do our best to find one for you. Registering your interest does not guarantee you a place, but we will do our best to get you in a team playing your preferred sport on your preferred day.
